ArtsLink NB is proud to host One-2-One sessions with industry professionals. Each event will center voices from different areas of the provincial arts ecosystem. We invite members to join and listen as each guest gives a webinar on their topic, and register ahead of time to meet for a one-on-one opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized feedback.
Registration
Applications for One-2-Ones open approximately three weeks before the session is scheduled. Find more information for each session and the links to apply below.

In this Webinar, Tanya Chapman, HR professional, President and Senior Consultant at the Chapman Group, will work with arts businesses and non-profits to empower their leadership with research-backed approaches to management, governance, team building and maximizing human resources.

The webinar will be followed by optional one-on-one sessions with Tanya, in which participants can discuss your specific organizational challenges and systems.
These one-2-one sessions are best suited for those in leadership roles in non-profit or for-profit arts organizations, but could also be applicable to creative groups such as bands and acting troupes.
One 2 One Sessions
The sessions will run for 30-minutes each, and give participants the opportunity to ask specific questions and receive valuable feedback about their existing structures and practices. Participants should come prepared with existing assets for the organization, including strategic plans, HR policies, or any other management or planning documents they wish to discuss.
All participants are encouraged to ALSO register for the webinar on Governance and Organizational Management, which will be held the same day (October 21st) from 12:00-1:00pm.

Tanya Chapman founded The Chapman Group to help individuals, teams and organizations transform to perform. Her boutique consulting company tailors custom solutions for each client, aligning strategic human resources practices with the overall organizational goals and vision.

She is recognized as a thought leader and encourages leaders to think big about their businesses, their teams, their plans and their purpose. As President and CEO of the Chapman Group, she leads by example, actively contributing to various boards and supporting local not for profit organizations by donating 10% of her working time.
Her experience is deep and diverse. Along with being an entrepreneur, Tanya has worked as an oil and gas executive and a university lecturer. An insightful and inspiring facilitator, she helps individuals and teams find focus and clarity to achieve their professional and personal goals.
Tanya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from St. Thomas University. She has a certificate in Human Resource Management and an MBA from the University of New Brunswick. She is a designated Certified Human Resource Professional and has completed the ICD Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Business.

Meet with Canada Council Program Officers
The Canada Council for the Arts is one of the most important arts funders in the country. Members were given the opportunity to meet with either Amanda Lowe Warnakulasuriya (Program Officer – Arts Across Canada and Abroad) or Matthew Tiffin (Program Officer – Explore and Create) for personalized one-on-one meetings to ask questions and ask for advice. Grant Writing with Kathleen Buckley
Professional grant writer Kathleen Buckley met one-on-one with members to answer questions about how to write a great grant proposal. Kathleen (Katie) Buckley is an arts administrator and writer from Saint John, New Brunswick. During the One 2 One sessions, Kathleen answered questions, helped edit drafts, and gave members feedback on how to write a strong grant proposal.

Performer CJ Norris worked with members to develop strategies for how to come across clear and confident when speaking about their practice. It’s important to be able to speak to people about your work, and even more importantly, to speak to groups of people about your work, confidently and authoritatively. September 2025
Social Media 101 for Artists and Creatives with Erica Waddell
Erica Waddell of Post Road Marketing covered specific questions about social media, including how to develop a plan that works for the artist and feels true to who they are as a person and a professional. She helped members improve their social media engagement, but keep it authentic.
