♿️ Saint John Arts Centre Accessibility Notes

ArtsLink NB is committed to providing a safe, inclusive space for our members to gather and share; please see our Accessibility Notes for more details:

• Accessible parking/passenger drop-off area: passengers can be dropped off near either of the two accessible entrances one on the side, and one in the back. There is one reserved disabled parking spot in front of the courthouse, and regular street parking along the same street, and along Carleton St.
• The building has an elevator.
• The closest bus routes to the venue are at Union and Main, and the routes that stop there are 1, 3, 9, 15, 23, 25, . The main King Square hub is a couple more blocks away.
• The outdoor pathways are mostly barrier-free but are stone paved, so it might be bumpy. Interior has some carpeting but it’s not too thick, so shouldn’t be too much of a challenge for mobility. Some doorways, especially upstairs, are quite narrow.
• Very few, if any, automatic doors. 
• There are accessible washrooms on the third floor and in the basement. both have grab bars.
• Lighting is adjustable, and due to the many small rooms, the echo is very minimal.
