April Foolish Waffle Breakfast and Membership Drive

On Saturday April 1st from 10 am – 1 pm, Third Space will be serving up fresh, homemade waffles from locally sourced ingredients—blueberries, maple syrup, home roasted and hand pulled coffee to kick off its week-long membership drive. The artist-run center’s new location at 89 Canterbury street, suite 407 will be transformed into pop-up waffle café for the event.
New and renewing members can purchase a home cooked waffle breakfast and a Third Space membership for just $20. Existing members can purchase the breakfast for $6. Vegan options will be available.
This family-friendly event will also feature fun and creative April Fools art activities for everyone to take part in.
Why become a Third Space member?
All membership fees go directly toward funding Third Space’s free educational and community-sensitive programming including, workshops, artist-talks, panel discussions, screenings, performances, exhibitions and special events. These funds help Third Space to operate as a flexible and responsive organization.
As an artist-run centre, Third Space takes direction from its members. Members can sit on committees and be involved in a variety of aspects of running the gallery: designing posters, brochures, websites and publications; planning and installing exhibitions; researching and writing grants; seeking sponsorship; building networks and connections with other artists and centres across the country; fund-raising, and volunteer coordination.
In addition, Third Space members are invited to organize projects in the Members’ Programming Space. These projects may include but are not limited to: screenings, performances, new media works, exhibits, talks, and other initiatives. Additional opportunities for members include, invitation to participate in an annual members show and sale, access to Third Space’s growing publication library and big white wall for documenting artwork.
Third Space memberships will be available for purchase from April 1st – April 7th online and in-store at Picaroons General Store, Buckland Merrifield Gallery, Handworks Gallery, The Feel Good Store, Good Fibrations, Shadowlawn Inn, Backstreet Records, TUCK Studio and Port City Royal.
